The presented costume consists of a petticoat and a short version of the robe francaise called pet en lair
This type of the outfit was very popular for most of the eighteenth century. It was a dress for less formal occasions, but it did not detract from its elegance.
The presented model has been made of beautiful silk fabric, where on a pearl-beige background are embroidered leaves in golden and green colour. The front is fastened with hooks. The cuffs are decorated with scalloped ruffles and lace engageantes.
The skirt is made of shot green silk taffeta.
Under the petticoat there is a panier in the form of two “pockets”, i.e. a two-piece oval construction that widens the dress sideways.
